Our Preschool Program helps children build confidence, develop key skills, and grow in faith while preparing for kindergarten. Through hands-on learning, structured routines, and Christ-centered lessons, we guide children to excel academically, socially, and spiritually in a fun and nurturing environment.

Chapel Time is a joyful, age-appropriate experience held every other week for our toddlers and preschoolers. Through songs, simple Bible stories, and fun activities, children are introduced to the love of God and the good news of Jesus Christ. Each session helps little ones understand who Jesus is and how much He loves them, laying a gentle foundation for faith in a way that’s engaging, nurturing, and full of wonder.
At Impact Childcare, we believe that teaching children about God’s love and His plan for us nurtures their hearts and helps them grow with a sense of belonging and purpose. By introducing young children to the truth of the Gospel in a way they can understand, we help lay a strong spiritual foundation during their earliest years.
Through gentle guidance, songs, stories, and prayer, children begin to learn that they are created by God, loved unconditionally by Jesus, and is part of a bigger story filled with hope and meaning. This early exposure to faith not only supports their emotional and spiritual development, but also encourages kindness, compassion, and confidence as they grow.
We provide safe, loving care for
children to thrive in all aspects of life.
We believe in equal opportunities for every child to grow in their skills and development. It’s our goal to provide high quality childcare everyday to meet the needs of each child, family member, and the community we serve.
Foundations of Early Learning
At Impact Childcare Centre, we follow the Foundations of Early Learning as outlined in How Does Learning Happen?, Ontario’s pedagogical framework for early childhood education. These four key foundations guide everything we do. They shape our environment, our relationships with children and families, and the meaningful activities we plan each day. Through play, exploration, and caring interactions, we help each child grow into confident, capable, and curious learners.
Belonging
Belonging means every child feels a sense of connection to others and is valued for who they are. At our daycare, we create a warm, inclusive environment where children build strong, trusting relationships with educators and peers. We support this through:
- Family photo boards that include pictures from home
- Personalized cubbies and name displays
- Group activities like circle time and shared meals where children are encouraged to listen, contribute, and feel part of the group
- Celebrations of cultural traditions that reflect our diverse community
Well-being

Well-being means nurturing each child’s physical and emotional health, safety, and comfort. We focus on helping children feel secure, capable, and confident in their bodies and minds. We support this through:
- Consistent routines that promote predictability and reduce stress Opportunities for physical activity indoors and outdoors every day
- Nutritious meals and snacks that support growing bodies
- Quiet spaces and rest times to help children regulate and recharge
Engagement
Engagement means children are involved, curious, and eager to explore their world. We provide a rich learning environment where children can follow their interests, ask questions, and learn through play. We support this through:
- Open-ended materials that invite creativity and discovery
- Sensory activities that encourage hands-on exploration
- Invitations to play that reflect children’s current interests
- Educators who ask thoughtful questions and extend learning through meaningful conversations
Expressions
Expression means children can communicate their thoughts and feelings in many ways. We value every child’s voice and support all forms of communication—verbal, non-verbal, creative, and emotional. We support this through:
- Daily opportunities for art, music, and storytelling
- Language-rich environments with books, songs, and conversation
- Visual supports and gestures to help with understanding and expression
- Encouragement of emotional expression and guidance to name and manage big feelings
Nurturing children through meaningful relationships, strong partnerships
with families, and a deep sense of belonging.
